Irene the painter married Vince the Ostrich and sunflower farmer. Irene was working many jobs to support her family. At her lowest point she scribbled on the back of an envelope containing a bill she could not afford to pay a tiny row of crazy people wearing large hats. That little tribe stayed in her mind for many years but without a home. Vince is an entrepreneur who likes a challenge. Irene and Vincent meet and the crazy people wearing large hats now had a home in The Yellow Hat Tribe. To learn how that happened you will need to come along to the meeting as its far too complicated to write! On sale will be a selection of goodies from the Yellow Hat Tribe Gallery.

400 Years of Stourbridge Glass.

For centuries glass has been manufactured in the Stourbridge area, reputedly started in the 17th century by French glassmakers from the Lorraine region. They were attracted to the area by the rich natural resources of coal and fireclay for lining furnaces, making it the perfect location for the industry. Stourbridge Glass is recognised as amongst the finest in the world and has been used countless times as gifts for royalty and visiting dignitaries to the UK.

Please come along to hear from Ian Drury all about glass making. This will be on Ian’s last talks as he is retiring.
