JOB ADVERTISEMENT – Part-time Admin Assistant to the Parish Clerk

Bidford-on-Avon Parish Council has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Admin Assistant  to the Clerk.

The Parish Council is looking for an Administrative Assistance to support the work of the Parish Clerk,  If you are looking for anew part-time role, this may be just the position for you.  Sector experience is not necessary for this role as training and support is offered.

Reporting directly to the Clerk, you will be responsible for administrative aspects of the Parish Council’s office and will need to have a good understanding of Word and Excel.  This is a part-time role and will be based in Bramley Way, Bidford-on-Avon.  Initially working 10 hours per week (times to be agreed during the interview process)

This role is primarily about improving the community for local residents that live and work in Bidford on Avon. Good communication skills are required alongside interpersonal skills.  Duties will include supporting the Clerk to research information required for decision making, occasional taking minutes of meetings and assisting in implementing decision of the Parish Council. During their working hours the Admin Assistance will be the first point of contact for members if the public, responding to enquiries and referring to the Parish Clerk as appropriate.

Salary £18,500+ pro rata depending on experience.  There is also a contributory pension scheme.
