Housing needs survey – Bidford on Avon parish. Opens 1st October/closes 22nd October 2024
Do you want to downsize, are you currently living at home with parents or with friends and want your own home? Do you need a bungalow in preference to a house? Do you work in Bidford but cannot afford to rent or buy a home here?
A lack of suitable and affordable housing has been a problem for many years, with house prices outstripping average incomes, so a survey is being carried out by a local charity on behalf of the Parish Council to identify the types and sizes of homes that local people need. Local housing information not only helps the Parish Council to understand local needs but helps them make effective representations when necessary to Stratford on Avon District Council.
In the current situation many local people, particularly the young and those on low incomes, are finding that they cannot afford to remain living locally so the survey is for every household (family, single, couple) and covers all types of homes.
People with a need for housing who currently live outside the area can also complete a form though they need to have a local connection, for example they currently work in the parish or have close family living here.
The survey can be completed online at www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/Bidford24 or ask the Rural Housing Enabler to send a survey form and Freepost envelope to you (call 01789 842182 or email housing@wrccrural.org.uk). And if you need any assistance the Rural Housing Enabler can help you complete the survey. Confidentiality guaranteed.
