Bidford Area Community Choir

Bidford Community Group & The Jolly Teapot

"To promote and co-ordinate community resources that will enhance the quality of life for parents, families and residents in the Bidford-on-Avon parish and surrounding areas"

Bidford Community Group was founded by a number of young mothers with the aim of improving recreation and play facilities for Bidford children of all ages. Since its formation, the Group has broadened it horizons to include an interest in elderly, disabled and housebound people, and to work for improved lifestyles opportunities for villagers in these categories too. It has, nonetheless, continued its work for children and young people, pioneering the provision of youth meeting points in the village, and with its support for the Youth Club.

The Group has also extended its activities to include educational, social and recreational events, including excursions to places of historic and other interest, computer courses for retired people, and speakers on local history, travel and topical issues. When the Parish Appraisal was first mooted in 2001, Bidford Community Group gave its full support and provided workers at every stage.

Jolly Teapot

The Jolly Teapot is run by the BIDFORD COMMUNITY GROUP, which formed in 2001 and is run by volunteers.

Every Thursday morning, the Church Hall is open to all village residents and visitors for tea or coffee for a small donation.  We have cake and biscuits too.

It is a great community “hub” for all ages and diversities to attend, gather together and have a “good old natter!”

It is an excellent place to meet your old friends and to make new ones.

The Jolly Teapot also arranges our annual pantomime trip in January to Birmingham, which is loved by all those who attend and is a great follow up show after Christmas.
